World Song Derby

Kaleidoscope Community Music will be running a new project, 'World_Song_Derby' over the next two years. The aim of the project is to raise people's self-esteem and music skills whilst understanding other cultures by sharing songs amongst people in Derby.

They are looking for individuals and groups from Derby's different cultures who like singing and would like to share some songs from their home culture with other people in Derby.

There will be opportunities to do one to one song sharing sessions, group song sharing workshops, and also recording some of the songs to go in a booklet of songs. Additionally, there will be training opportunities for keen singers from different cultures who would like to be able to run singing workshops.
