Become a Champion
The following DCP groups want DCN Champions to bring a voluntary and community sector perspective to the discussions and decisions that are made there. Each DCP group has different requirements for its members, so if you’re interested in becoming a Champion on one of these groups please contact the Policy Manager for details of a group’s member requirements, and an expression of interest form.
Children's Strategic Partnership
The Children’s Strategic Partnership needs a Champion to attend regular meetings of the group and bring a voluntary sector perspective to discussions. You should be able to communicate effectively, be able to bring DCN members’ views to the group, and have a knowledge of children’s services and the integrated children’s agenda. The next meeting of the group is on 6 th December, so if you’re interested in becoming a Champion on the group, please complete and return an expression of interest form by Monday 29th November at the latest.

Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC)
The PMC needs a Champion to bring a voluntary and community sector viewpoint to the group. Meetings will be held at least twice a year. The role of the PMC is to make sure that the URBAN regeneration programme in Normanton is being delivered effectively.
External Funding Management Group (EFMG)
The EFMG needs a Champion to make sure that the needs of specific groups, including women and minority ethnic communities, are thoroughly considered in regeneration decision making. Meetings are held every six weeks. You need to have a good understanding of DCP external funding programmes and support the aims and objectives of those programmes.

Normanton Management Group (NMG)
The NMG needs three Champions to bring a voluntary and community sector perspective to the group. Meetings will be held every six weeks. The role of the group is to oversee the implementation of the SRB (Single Regeneration Budget) and URBAN programmes in Normanton. Your group needs to be based in the Normanton regeneration area and you need to have several years’ experience of working in the voluntary sector.
