Derby Community Network develops

A significant step in the development of the Derby Community Network structure has taken place.

The first quarterly meeting of the Board Reps, Champions and Cluster Reps was held at Derby CVS on Wednesday 3rd June. The Board Reps are the elected reps of Derby Community Network who sit on the Derby City Partnership (DCP) Board. Champions are key people in the Community Network who already belong to some of the Derby City Partnership groups.

Clusters can be either geographical, such as Normanton, or clusters with a shared interest, disability for example.

Linda Stone, Community Network Development Officer, gave a brief introduction to the Community Network and an update on the current issues.

The purpose of the quarterly meetings are to share information, communication and discuss issues for consultation with the wider Community Network.

Information from these meetings will be collated and sent out either in the monthly updates or the DCN Newsletter.
