Regeneration partnerships in Derby

Derby CVS is involved in a range of local regeneration programmes. A key element of this work is our efforts to bring resources into neglected communities and strengthen their involvement in how the resources are used. In particular, we're involved in the New Deal for Communities programme in the Derwent Ward through our Derwent First Steps project and the SRB 5 programme in Osmaston and Allenton.

Taken together NDC and SRB are devoted to reducing crime, increasing economic activity, improving skills and education, promoting community leadership and involvement and improving health amongst the city's most excluded citizens.

Through Derby City Partnership, Derby CVS is also involved in efforts to establish other regeneration initiatives, for example under the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and the European Social Fund Objective 2 and Urban programmes.
