A Compact Funding
Code of Good Practice for Derby
The Derby Compact was launched in 2001
and, more recently, the Derby Compact Forum has begun to meet.
The Forum includes nine representatives from both Derby
City Council and Derby's voluntary and community
sector.
The purpose of the Forum is to take forward the principles
of the Compact and make sure they're delivered locally.
At the last meeting of the Derby Compact Forum on 23rd February
representatives agreed that a working group would draft up a Funding Code
specifically for Derby.
This would ensure that local voluntary groups and Derby
City Council have a set of shared commitments on the funding relationship.
It will include important details such as the publicising
of Derby City Council funding streams, how the funds are used and how
decisions are made.
The working group will use the information gathered from
the Derby CVS Policy Forum consultation on this funding relationship when
drafting the code of practice.
