Community Legal Service Quality Mark

Derby CVS is supporting local voluntary organisations in adopting the Community Legal Service Quality Mark.

Derby City Council has made it a condition of continued funding after March 2003 that voluntary sector legal advice providers must commit to acquiring the Quality Mark at one of its various levels.

The emphasis will be on ensuring quality of advice provision. It's definitely not about preventing voluntary groups from using their experience to advise users, so it's nothing to be frightened of!

The support project is being funded by the Legal Services Commission through the Lord Chancellor's Partnership Innovation Budget.
