Make the most of your ICT

Is your organisation based in one of the Objective 2 wards of Babington, Derwent, Litchurch or Osmaston?

Would you benefit from some help in using ICT (Information and Communication Technology)?

Then Derby CVS might be able to help you!

We've received European Union funding for a three year project to provide ICT support to voluntary and community groups in these four wards.

We have a new ICT Support Worker - Alan Coats - starting at CVS this month, and he will be able to provide your group with:

  • assistance and support to resolve any technical problems with your computers and other IT equipment;
  • IT training for your staff and volunteers;
  • independent information on the latest IT developments, including anti-virus software;
  • advice on what to buy, where to buy it from and what to pay; and
  • help in developing email facilities, databases, websites - in fact you tell us what you need and we'll do our best to help you!

Alan will be able to visit your premises and discuss with you what your ICT requirements are and the best ways to meet them. All support and training will be individually tailored to the needs of your organisation and your staff and volunteers. And it's all completely free of charge!

( To find out more about how you can be involved in this exciting new project, contact Lisa Garnham at Derby CVS on 01332 227730 or email lgarnham@cvsderby.co.uk

You can also contact Lisa to clarify whether your group or organisation falls within any of these four ward boundaries.
