Derby Information, Advice and Guidance Partnership

Since it was first set up at Derby CVS, the Derby Information Advice and Guidance Partnership Project has continued to successfully deliver a valued service to the community.

The Project mainly focus on the career aspirations of refugees, asylum seekers and black and culturally diverse clients aged over 19.

Leonard Haye, the Information, Advice and Guidance Adviser, assists clients with jobsearch, preparing CVs, interview techniques, completing application forms for jobs and guiding them towards making the right career choices.

The other aspect of Leonard's role is to recruit organisations working with refugees, asylum seekers and black and minority organisations to the Derby Information, Advice and Guidance Partnership.

The Partnership offers benefits such as training opportunities for front line staff, help with developing policies and procedures and access to working groups to discuss relevant issues.
