Supporting Volunteers Group

The Supporting Volunteers Group (formerly known as the Volunteer Organisers’ Forum) is for people within voluntary organisations who are responsible for recruiting, selecting, motivating and supporting volunteers. It aims to:

  • provide the opportunity for networking and information sharing,
  • look at common problems and issues and work together towards solutions,
  • assist organisers with formulating policies which will provide the required support for their volunteer workers,
  • provide support for organisers which will enable them, in turn, to support their volunteers,
  • provide training for organisers on current volunteer issues.

Meetings are held every two months at Derby CVS. Contact the Volunteer Bureau Manager for more details about meeting dates.

We'd like to hear your views on how we can help you to support your volunteers. What would you like to discuss at these meetings? What format should they take? What do you want to get out of them?

( Please let us know your views and ideas - contact the Volunteer Bureau Manager.
