Good practice

The Volunteer Bureau seeks to encourage and support the use of good practice amongst organisations that use volunteers. Our Volunteer Bureau Manager can provide information, advice and guidance on any issues relating to volunteers. We have a wide selection of reference materials relating to the recruitment, selection and management of volunteers. Our Supporting Volunteers Group provides a forum for sharing good practice. We also run training for organisations.

Training for organisations

We provide training for organisations that use volunteers. Our Valuing your Volunteers course covers the issues surrounding recruitment, supervision, support and good practise when dealing with volunteers. This course is already running but will be re-run in the future if demand is high. Keep up to date with training at CVS by going to the training section or by subscribing to Network News.
